Sophie is the founder and director of Meals For Milton-Parc. She is a fourth year McGill student studying Art History, Sociology and Indigenous Studies. This initiative came to fruition because of her love of cooking and bringing people together. This initiative came to fruition because of her love of cooking. Sophie enjoys spending time outdoors and with the people she loves. Sophie loves how food brings people together and that is the basis of this organization!
Liz is currently in her third year of studies at McGill university, majoring in psychology with a minor in history. Since she was younger she has volunteered at churches ensuring individuals without homes are well nourished and coaching volleyball to young athletes. In her spare time Liz enjoys being outside, baking, listening to podcasts and sleeping.
Cat is an Outreach and Partnership Coordinator for Meals For Milton Parc. She is originally from Cincinnati, Ohio, but has been in Montreal for the last two years. She is in her second year at McGill studying Anthropology and East Asian Studies. In her free time, she enjoys reading and going on runs through the city.
Alexandra is a third-year Arts student majoring in International Development Studies and Art History with a minor in Gender, Sexuality, Feminist, and Social Justice Studies. Looking forward, after her undergraduate degree, she's hoping to attend law school. Other areas of interest for Alexandra include access to reproductive healthcare and sex education.
Chloé Blanchet (she/her) is born and raised here in Tio'tia:ke. She is in her last year of the Gender, Sexuality, Feminism and Social Justice Studies major, and completing a double-minor in Indigenous Studies and Educational Psychology at McGill. In her spare time, she likes to read, cook, watch Netflix, work out and buy flowers!
Sonia is originally from Miami Beach, Florida and is in her fourth year at McGill University. She is double majoring in International Development Studies and Political Science. She has a passion for social justice and the promotion of human rights. In her free time, Sonia enjoys baking and doing yoga.
Katerina is in her fourth year at McGill majoring in history and minoring in political science and religious studies. She was born and raised in Toronto and often enjoys listening to rap, photography, fanatical story telling, and volunteering in her community. This year she is the Vp finance of Meals for Milton Parc as well as the McGill Art History Student Association. After her time at McGill, Katerina hopes to curate an immersive ancient Byzantium exhibit while volunteering to alleviate the Syrian refugee crisis.
Indigenous Outreach Coordinator
Renee is in her third year at McGill University studying Psychology, International Development and Indigenous Studies. She is Anishinaabe from Batchewana Ojibway Nation and Kanien’keha from Kanesatake Mohawk Nation, although she grew up in Tkaronto (Toronto, Ontario). Renee is passionate about her work with the Indigenous community. In her spare time she’s busy fighting the for the LandBack Movement through various demonstrations and initiatives.
Gilli is a U3 Joint Honours student studying Political Science and Religious Studies. He was born and bred in Toronto and in his spare time Gilli enjoys practising yoga, meditating, reading, and biking through the glorious city of Montreal.
Braden is in his fourth year of studies at McGill University studying finance and business analytics. Over the last year, he has been integrating his interests in technology with his passion for alleviating food insecurity by working with the McGill Food Analytics Center to bring technological solutions to food-related non-profits. In his spare time, Braden enjoys watching movies, listening to music, and learning new skills.
Alex is a fourth-year neuroscience major with a minor in management at McGill University. She has aspirations for medical school and has previously held various research positions. Alex looks forward to contributing her skills in strategic communication and outreach to the Meals for Milton Park team -- it is an incredible opportunity to get involved in my neighbourhood.
Defne is a second year student at McGill University who is studying Psychology with a minor in Sociology. She's currently the Photography and Design Coordinator of M4MP! In the past, Defne has done some volunteering with children in less developed cities in Turkey. She really enjoys taking photos, watching movies and exploring the beautiful city Montreal in her free time!
Juno grew up in New Paltz, NY and is in her fourth and final year at McGill studying Psychology, Behavioral Science, and English Cultural Studies. She plans to pursue a PhD in Counseling Psychology and hopes to go on to open a therapy practice aimed at working with adolescents suffering from mental illness.
Lea is a third-year student at McGill majoring in Urban Studies with a double minor in Health Geography and Communications. Her main interests are race-based health inequalities, transport planning, and urban climate change adaptations. When Lea is not studying she's reading, or listening to a podcast. Isabel is from Toronto and is currently studying History, Political Science, and Indigenous Studies at McGill University. She is committed to supporting the communities around her, and is excited to be able to do so by making infographics in her role as a Social Media Coordinator. In her spare time Isabel likes to read, run and hang out with friends.
Internal Communications Coordinator
Amanda studies environment and urban planning at McGill in Montreal, QC. She loves her neighbourhood, ethnobotany and quality food.
Laura is currently enrolled in the McGill Bachelor Integrated Nursing (BNI) program as a U2 student. She currently works as a registered nurse on a post-operative surgical floor and as a clinical research nurse in the development of treatment against the coronavirus. She is also apart of a student run platform NUS WELLness to promote wellness into our daily routine. She is an advocate for promoting equitable health within the nursing practice.
Karina is from North Vancouver, BC. She is in her fourth year at McGill University attaining a degree of Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology. Karina loves spending time with her family and friends. In her spare time Karina enjoys being active through hiking, skiing, and playing soccer.
Ariana is originally from Ottawa, ON and currently is in her third-year at McGill University, majoring in Pharmacology and minoring in Management. She is very excited to be apart of the M4MP exec team as a VP Sustainability Coordinator and to support the individuals without houses in the Milton-Parc area.
Elizabeth is in her last year at McGill University studying International Development, Sociology, and Arabic Language. She is from Virginia, but moved to Montreal for university. On the average day you can find her walking around Outremont or spending too much money on coffee in the mile end.
Anna Sixsmith is a fourth year student studying Gender, Sexuality, Feminist, and Social Justice Studies (GSFS) and Economics. She is involved with the MUS's Winter Carnival and Gamma Phi Beta at McGill.
Social Media Coordinator
Emily is one of the social media executives for Meals for Milton Parc. She is from Toronto and is in her fourth year at McGill majoring in Anthropology and minoring in Art History and Indigenous Studies. In her free time, she enjoys cooking and baking and exploring the outdoors.
Emma Mandat-Toland is from Toronto, Ontario (which she never lets anyone forget) and a fourth-year student at McGill University majoring in Art History and Political Science. She has a great passion for the arts and culture, and someday hopes to be an entertainment lawyer; moreover, she loves to help people. Emma is President of Art History and Communications Studies Students Association (AHCSSA). Outside of McGill, she volunteers at the Toronto Distress Centre, works part time on Crescent St, and is still attempting to get her license.
Jessica-Marie (she/her) is currently enrolled in the McGill Bachelor Nursing Integrated program as is working as a Registered Nurse in Montreal. She is the Nursing Undergraduate Society (NUS) VP Internal, participating member of NUS WELLness Committee, and part of McGill Gamma Phi Beta sorority. She is a nature enthusiast and strong advocate for change in human/global health, social justice, environment with a passion for humanitarian aid. Jessica's dream is to pursue a nursing career in a domain that enriches both health and ethics.
