Meals for Milton Parc: Solidarity Sunday

As settlers residing on the unceded Indigenous land of Tiohtià:ke, the people of Montreal actively benefit from the ongoing colonization, displacement, and murder of Indigenous Canadians. The effects of settler colonialism still linger today, as Indigenous Peoples face disproportionate instances of police brutality, medical racism, homelessness, poverty, addiction, incarceration, and the deprivation of basic needs, such as clean water.

Solidarity Sunday, Meals for Milton Parc’s newest initiative for reconciliation and mutual aid, was established to raise funds from settler communities to redistribute among Indigenous Peoples in Montreal who require financial support.

Any funds leftover will be kept for the next Solidarity Sunday and the requested amount asked that week will reflect what is still needed. To contribute, please etransfer mealsformiltonparc@gmail.com with the message “Solidarity Sunday.” Each week going forward we will post accountability screenshots from the etransfers of the week before.
